Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends elements of ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical dance is oriented towards a dancer's emotional responses rather than to an underlying formal choreographic structure. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express strong emotions.
Our teaching methodology in these classes aim to teach dancers how to pick up choreography quickly, and to move their bodies in their own unique way as they feel and dance to the music.
